Investitures in South West Notts

Our District Explorer Scout necker is "Scout Purple"

Explorer Scouts are encouraged to be invested into their units somewhere other than their usual meeting place... the more extreme the better! Here are just some of the more unusual investitures we've had... if you have pictures of another one, please e-mail them to the DESC.

Magellan ESU - January 2007

In a very crowded chip shop after a 7-legged walk in the pouring rain

Magellan ESU - November 2006

Back in a camping barn in deepest darkest Derbyshire. Looks like Daz was getting a little carried away when tightening a woggle!

Pioneer ESU - February 2006

In a Ferrari F50 at the Graypaul Ferrari showroom in Nottingham... Kirsten is doing her best to hide a bump behind the District flag... and I don't mean a dent in the bodywork of the car!

Magellan ESU - November 2005

In a camping barn in deepest darkest Derbyshire.

Even Leaders get invested - here's Terry of Trojan ESU at Willesley in April 2005

Magellan ESU half way up the climbing wall at Gilwell Park in January 2004

Pioneer ESU - July  2004

During a District water activities weekend on Barton Island in the River Trent.

Magellan ESU  - January 2004

Some members of the unit didn't fancy hanging around on the climbing wall, so they were invested in the outdoor chapel at Gilwell Park late at night

Magellan ESU  - January 2004

One of our first young leaders being invested during a Beaver Colony meeting. Fancy finding shoes to match those trousers which match the Beaver uniform so well....
